Terms of Service
Last updated 3 September 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tenet Boxing, including our website, mobile application, waitlist, and any related features (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Who we are
The Services are operated by Surface Tension (“we”, “us”, “our”). Tenet Boxing is a boxing intelligence and training product. References to “you” mean the individual or entity using the Services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Services. If you are under 18, you should use the Services only with permission from a parent or guardian. Boxing and training content involves physical activity; consult a physician before beginning any training programme.
Accounts and waitlist
Joining the waitlist or creating an account requires accurate contact information you control. Waitlist registration is not a purchase, reservation, or guarantee of access, pricing, or features. We may change launch timing, limit beta access, or modify the product before general release.
You are responsible for activity under your email address or account credentials. Notify us promptly at hello@tenetboxing.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services except with our prior written consent.
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or automate access to the Services, our APIs, or content except through interfaces we explicitly provide.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, models, algorithms, or non-public data pipelines except where law expressly permits and we cannot contractually restrict it.
- Submit false waitlist entries, bulk signups, or addresses you do not control.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or other users' access.
- Remove copyright, trade mark, or proprietary notices from the Services or licensed materials.
Intellectual property
We own or license the Tenet Boxing name, wordmark, visual design, software, models, and original content in the Services. These Terms do not grant you any ownership interest. You may share links to our public pages. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our branding, code, or proprietary media without written permission.
Third-party materials displayed in the Services remain the property of their respective owners and are used under licence or permitted use. See Legal & Licensing.
Third-party services and content
The Services may include links, embeds, or references to third-party websites, video platforms, social networks, or data sources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party terms, privacy practices, or content accuracy. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
Beta and experimental features
Features labelled beta, preview, or experimental may change or be withdrawn without notice. They are provided “as is” and may be less reliable than generally available features.
Health and training disclaimer
Tenet Boxing provides informational and analytical tools. It is not medical advice, coaching certification, or a substitute for professional supervision in a gym. You assume all risks of training and competition. We do not guarantee any athletic outcome, ranking accuracy, or safety result.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SURFACE TENSION AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Surface Tension from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
App store terms
If you download Tenet Boxing from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable store's terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. You acknowledge that Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of the app-store portions of these Terms where required by their policies.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the product. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited, exclusive jurisdiction for disputes lies in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Changes
We may modify these Terms. The date at the top indicates the latest version. Material changes will be posted on the Services. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance unless law requires additional notice or consent.
